Privacy policy

Last updated 15 October 2026. This policy covers the Billo app for iPhone and this website, getbillorganizer.com.

The short version

  • Your bills stay on your iPhone. Bill names, amounts, due dates, notes, income and photos are stored on your device. We never receive them.
  • No account. Billo has no sign-up, no login and no connection to your bank.
  • No AI. Billo does not send your data to any AI model or AI company, and we do not use your data to train AI.
  • No selling, no ads tracking. We do not sell your data, we show no ads in the app and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
  • What does leave your phone: anonymous usage statistics, the state of your purchases, and, if you installed Billo from an ad in the App Store, which ad it was. The details are below.

Who we are

Billo is made by Cloud Motion Lab LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801, United States ("we", "us"). We decide how the data described here is used, so we are its controller. For anything about privacy, write to dev@slyapp.co.

What stays on your iPhone

Everything you type or capture in Billo is stored by the app on your device: bills, payments, income entries, notes, reminder settings and photos you take of a bill. Billo's widgets, Live Activities and Siri shortcuts read the same data on the device. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else.

Billo does not sync your bills to iCloud or any server. That has two consequences:

  • Deleting the app deletes your bills. With Billo Pro you can export your payment history as a file first.
  • We cannot see, recover or delete your bills for you, because we never have them. Your iPhone's own backup may include them, under Apple's terms.

What leaves your iPhone, and why

1. Anonymous usage statistics (TelemetryDeck)

Billo sends short usage events to TelemetryDeck, an analytics service based in Germany, so we can see which parts of the app work and which confuse people. Examples: a screen opened, a bill added, a paywall shown, how often a bill repeats. An event never contains a bill's name, amount, notes or photo.

Each event carries technical details such as the app version, the iOS version, the device model and your region settings, plus a random identifier for your installation. TelemetryDeck says it anonymises that identifier before storing it, never stores IP addresses and uses no cookies. Its servers are in the European Union (Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Falkenstein and Nuremberg).

Why: to improve the app. In the UK and EU our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how Billo is used. In the UK this kind of statistics is also allowed without consent as long as you are told about it and can object, which you can (see your right to object).

How long: TelemetryDeck sets no fixed deletion date for these anonymous events. It says it expects to delete them after 7 to 10 years.

2. Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)

Apple handles every payment. We never see your card, your billing address or your Apple Account email. To know whether you have Billo Pro, the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription service based in the United States. RevenueCat receives a random customer identifier created by the app, your purchase and renewal history from Apple, the product you bought, your App Store country and technical details such as the device type and operating system.

Why: to give you what you paid for, to restore purchases and to handle billing questions. Lawful basis: performing our contract with you.

How long: for as long as needed to provide your purchases, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.

3. Which App Store ad brought you (Apple Ads attribution)

If you installed Billo after tapping one of our ads in the App Store, Apple can tell the app which campaign, ad group and search keyword led to the install. Billo passes this to RevenueCat with your purchase record. It uses Apple's own attribution system, not the advertising identifier (IDFA): there is no tracking prompt because Billo does not track you, and nothing here identifies you as a person.

Why: to find out which ads are worth paying for. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in measuring our own advertising.

4. Billo's App Store rating

The upgrade screen shows Billo's current App Store rating. To get it, the app asks Apple's public store service for Billo's rating in your App Store country. Nothing about you is sent beyond the country.

5. When you write to us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to answer you. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in helping you, or our contract with you. We keep the conversation for up to 24 months after it ends, then delete it.

6. This website

getbillorganizer.com is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website, it is delivered to your browser from Cloudflare's servers, which process your IP address to do so and to block attacks. We use no cookies, no tracking scripts and no analytics code in your browser. The site reads your browser's language setting to show UK or US screenshots; that check happens in your browser and nothing is sent to us. We see only total page requests counted on Cloudflare's servers, never who made them. Links to the App Store carry a campaign label (for example "website" or "instagram") so Apple can tell us how many installs came from each place, in totals only.

The website's calculators and tools run in your browser. What you type into them is not sent to us.

7. Our social media

We post on Instagram and TikTok. If you follow, comment or message us there, those companies process your data under their own privacy policies, and we see what those platforms show to any account holder.

Permissions on your iPhone

  • Notifications, for bill reminders. Reminders are scheduled on your device. Optional; you can turn them off in iOS Settings.
  • Camera, only when you choose to photograph a paper bill. The photo is stored with that bill, on your device.
  • Billo does not ask for your location, contacts, microphone or health data, and does not use the tracking permission.

Artificial intelligence

  • Billo has no AI feature. The app sends none of your data to any AI model or AI company.
  • We do not use your data to train AI models, and we do not sell, license or give it to anyone to train theirs.
  • If we ever add a feature that sends any of your data to an AI service, we will name the service, say exactly what is sent and how long it is kept, and ask for your explicit permission in the app before anything is sent. We will update this policy first. Features that run entirely on your device will be described here too.
  • Billo makes no automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
  • AI in our marketing: the voice in our Billy videos is generated with AI, and some images in our posts are AI-generated. Billy is a cartoon character and not a real person. Anything shown as a Billo screen, in our posts or on this site, is a real capture of the app. AI-made posts carry the platform's AI label, and we never present AI output as a real customer.

Who processes your data for us

ProviderWhat forWhere
AppleApp distribution, payments, ad attribution, the rating lookupWorldwide, under Apple's privacy policy
RevenueCat, Inc.Purchase status, ad attributionUnited States (Amazon Web Services)
TelemetryDeck GmbHAnonymous usage statisticsEuropean Union
Cloudflare, Inc.Website hosting and securityWorldwide network

RevenueCat, TelemetryDeck and Cloudflare process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to providing their service to us and require them to protect it at least as well as this policy describes. Apple runs the App Store and payments as an independent company under its own privacy policy. We do not sell personal data, share it for cross-context behavioural advertising or use it for targeted advertising.

International transfers

RevenueCat stores data in the United States. For data from the UK and EU, it uses the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (2021) with the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum, as set out in its data processing agreement. TelemetryDeck keeps data in the EU. Cloudflare and Apple apply their own transfer safeguards, described in their policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to: tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy; correct it; delete it; restrict how we use it; give it to you in a portable format. To use any right, email dev@slyapp.co with "Privacy request" in the subject.

We hold very little that can be linked to you. To find your purchase record, please include the order ID from Apple's receipt email. We reply within one month. For complex requests we may take up to two more months, and we will tell you if so.

Your right to object

You can object at any time to our use of your data for our legitimate interests, including the anonymous usage statistics and the measurement of our ads. Write to dev@slyapp.co with "Objection" in the subject. The next update of Billo adds a switch in Settings to turn the usage statistics off yourself; this policy will say so when it is live.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, tell us first: email dev@slyapp.co with "Privacy complaint" in the subject, or write to the postal address above. We acknowledge every complaint within 30 days, look into it without undue delay and tell you the outcome.

You can also complain to a regulator. In the UK that is the Information Commission (ico.org.uk). In the European Union it is the data protection authority of the country where you live, work or where the problem happened.

United States

If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law, you have the rights that law gives you, including to know, correct and delete. We treat every US user the same way and do not discriminate against anyone for using these rights. If we turn down a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer within 60 days, and we will respond within 45 days. We do not sell or share personal data and do not use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of; this also covers browser signals such as Global Privacy Control.

Children

Billo is a household tool for adults and is not directed to children under 13. It is rated 4+ only because it contains nothing unsuitable. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

Security

Your bills are protected by your iPhone's own security, such as your passcode and Apple's data protection. We hold no copy of them. Our providers protect what they process with industry-standard measures. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affected your data, we would tell you and the regulators where the law requires it.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change matters, for example new data, a new provider or a new use, we also say so in the app's update notes and on this page before it takes effect.
